[OhnoxNino] Death
This is what happens when I'm tired. ;____; NOT Tego/Massu. *cue laughter*

Title: Death
Pairing: Ohno x Ninomiya
Rating: Slightly PG at the most.
Disclaimer: Johnny's Entertainment belongs to me. Not.
Notes: Um well, this is actually a collection of four death-related drabbles I wrote sometime ago while feeling really happy at the same time. First time Ohmiya, so sorry for any OOC-ness.

Death
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1. Nino feels the pain in his back, hurting him. His complains are frequent, whines of a little boy. It hurts even more, mentally and physically. But the pain increases. And so the complaints decrease.

Ohno is disturbed, insists on a medical checkup. He's worried, concerned about his best friend after all. Hiding your pain won't heal it, he chides, scared that the younger one might be feeling something that shouldn't be felt. Shouldn't be felt, he tells himself once again.

The tests are over and the results come. A malignant tumor, cancer in his spinal cord. Expensive operations, painful procedures, but evident death. Nino swallows it all with an innocent frown.

He discloses it all to Ohno with a confused smile on his face. "But, Ohno," his voice carries childishly, "In my world, I entertain people, have fans worldwide, marry a beautiful girl and die at the age of 91 in my sleep, probably because of old age. In my world, pain and suffering doesn't occur, does it?"

Ohno can't really speak; he doesn't know what has happened to his voice. He smiles back and hugs his best friend.

#2. Ohno suddenly awakens in the middle of the night and starts; it's still not 6 AM. He drowsily looks to his side and barely traces the outline of Nino, in deep sleep. He smiles. Nino means so much to him.

He wonders how Nino would feel if he died.

Surprised at this sudden, strange thought, Ohno decides that pondering in the middle of night might be quite disturbing. But he continues anyway. What if he dies? Will people, his fans miss him? Will his parents cry as he is --- cremated (better than a full burial, he nods to himself)? Will Arashi disband? Will Johnny-san name a band in his memory? Will...will Nino fall in love with someone else?

Ohno dwells on his narcissistic thoughts for a while. Details of his fantastical death flood his mind, and he shifts uncomfortably, awkward tears stinging his eyes.

"Ohno?" Nino is awake now. Ohno curses himself for waking up Nino, but is eager anyway. He has a question.

"Ne, Nino, if I die...would you miss me?"

A short silence follows. Nino absently runs his hand through Ohno's hair, quite drowsy. "Of course I would. Although - I'd better die before you. Now sleep."

#3. It's for charity, Mary says, for spreading happiness. Metaphorically speaking, Sho adds, and Ohno shrugs again. "It's for spreading happiness anyway," he parrots.

Arashi perform a few of their popular songs for the audience, comprised of children suffering from a variety of diseases and only a few days to live. A few minutes are given to "interact" later, and the members roam away. Nino shifts his weight from one foot to another, looking around.

"Nino-san! Aa, o-ohayo gozaimasu," Nino turns to a pale little seven year old girl, visibly nervous as she introduces herself. "I'm a fan of yours," She finally adds. The true colors of a fangirl start to show. "You were-"

Ohno comes into the picture, and the girl looks at him. Stares at him, really. "You are Ohno-san, right?" Ohno nods slowly. "My best friend adores you a lot!" she exclaims excitedly.

Nino finally gets a word inside in the one-sided conversation. "Can we meet your best friend too?" He manages to exclaim just as excitedly. The little girl nods happily, runs back to her ward. She returns a few minutes later with a bunny.

"Meet Bunny, my best friend," Her face breaks into a wide smile.

The nurse whispers conspiratorially later to them. "She's got leukemia, poor child. Only three months to live. And she has only that ragged bunny of hers as a friend...yet she's so happy." She sighs. "The poor child."

#4. "Ohno, promise me that when you die, you'll return as a ghost."

Ohno stares at Nino for quite a long time. Nino stubbornly looks back.

"What?" Maybe he didn't hear right, Ohno thinks.

"Ne, are you deaf? Promise me that you'll come back as a ghost even after your death!" Nino reiterates.

Ohno stares at him some more.

"Why are you saying that and why are you thinking like that and why do you think ghosts exist and why do you want me to die all of a sudden?" Enter suspicious mode.

"I don't want you to die! I-I just read somewhere that people come back as ghosts even after they die, just to fulfill promises..."

Nino smiled brightly.

"And so promise me to just come back! Isn't that neat?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I wrote these a few days ago; and now I really hate all of them (Especially #1 and #4)... But I posted them anyway just because. Gyah ><;;

Ah really? Well, I absolutely love angst. So yeah. Haha. Though near death due to severe, brutal torture or anything else is my limit. Actual death, not much of a fan of. Haha. After all, why kill them when you can torture them even more?

Hope to see more Arashi fics from you. Ja.
