Masuda walked along the silent road. After all, it was winter. The cherry blossom trees lining the path had withered away, and the leaves had all fallen down. There was snow everywhere, and more gently fell from the sky.

A snowflake fell on Masuda's bare shoulder. He trembled slightly, causing it to fall down. He didn't even know why he was out. Maybe it was just the silence, the cool or maybe...the snow? Masuda liked winter more than summer. Everything remained still and silent and calm and soothing. Not like the other seasons, which were prone to be hectic and busy. Winter was...something totally different.

"Ah!" Something or maybe someone soft bumped into Masuda's chest. Masuda knew he was going to fall, and so he did, the stranger on top of him. The stranger quickly got up and bowed.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't - Masuda?" It was a familiar voice. Tegoshi. Masuda got up and smiled.

"Masuda?" Tegoshi smiled back, and before Masuda could protest, enveloped him in a hug. "I was thinking about you right now!" He whispered as Masuda put his arms around Tegoshi's waist.

"No wonder you ran into me," Masuda laughed. "And just what were you doing outside in this weather?"

Tegoshi pulled back from the hug. "That's what you should be telling me right now," He replied, pouting a little. "I was just coming over to your house."

Masuda shrugged. "I was out - because I wanted to be."

Tegoshi looked at him. Masuda's eyes scanned the frost-covered buildings, withered trees and snow-covered road with a smile of joy on his face. And he wasn't even dressed in the right clothes, just a plain shirt and blue jeans. The idiot.

Masuda found himself being covered by something warm. Tegoshi had taken out his jacket and was now putting it on Masuda. "Oi!" Masuda tried to wriggle away. Tegoshi countered him with a mock-serious glance. "You'll catch a cold if you don't wear anything warm, young man," He ordered.

"But what about you?" Masuda protested. Tegoshi hugged him once again, cuddling against his chest.

"See, I'm feeling warm already," Tegoshi stated, and laughed a little.

Because, as they walked home like that, hugging each other, their around each other's waist, he finally realized why Masuda had ventured outside.
